چکیده

Widespread intrauterine growth retardation of embryo and fetal (IUGR) in cattle its negative effects on postnatal offspring health threaten the economic sustainability livestock production. IUGR calves often exhibit birth weight deficits, early death, metabolic abnormalities, low rate, poor feed utilization. Effective correction these disorders is impossible without a detailed study causes, mechanisms development consequences IUGR. In present work, comparative analysis content macrominerals trace elements blood newborn Simmental with (Group I, n = 20) physiological course pregnancy their mothers II, was carried out. Blood for studies obtained at 1 day age, before 4th feeding colostrum. The sodium, potassium, calcium magnesium serum samples iron, copper, zinc, manganese, cobalt selenium whole were studied by atomic absorption spectrometry (AA6300, Shimadzu, Japan). Group I had increased potassium (by 6.7%, P 0.022) 6.3%, 0.004) decreased sodium 4.3%, 0. 005), reduced 41.0%, 0.0001), copper 23.6%, manganese 23.4%, 0.005) compared II animals. other minerals did not differ significantly between groups. possible causes identified mineral profile analyzed.

Intrauterine Growth Retardation in Newborn Children

Rationale Birthweight is one of the most sensitive – and also one of the most important – measures of the well-being of children. Weight at birth is directly influenced by the general level of health status of the mother. In developing countries, especially, maternal nutrition is one of the most important determinants of birthweight. Three aspects are of particular importance: inadequate matern...

Relationship of blood rheology to lipoprotein profile during normal pregnancies and those with intrauterine growth retardation.

AIMS The effects on fetal growth of hyperlipidaemia in pregnancy are not well understood at present. In this study the different lipid fractions in normal pregnancies and pregnancies complicated by intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) were determined and related to changes in plasma and serum viscosity. METHODS Two groups of pregnant women were studied. Group 1 consisted of 35 healthy pregn...

The recognition that some low birthweight babies (<2500 g) were the victims of intrauterine growth retardation rather than premature birth was a milestone in perinatal medicine.'3 Up to 10% of all liveborn babies and at least 30% of those of low birth weight suffer from intrauterine growth retardation; their perinatal mortality is four to 10 times higher than that of normally grown babies-both ...

Intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) refers to fetal growth that has been constrained in utero. It results in newborns that have not attained their full growth potential and are already malnourished at birth. Fetuses that suffer from growth retardation have higher perinatal morbidity and mortality and are more likely to experience poor cognitive development and neurologic impairment during ch...
